We are now officially a week away from opening She's All Yours!!!! Everyone in the cast, and particularly long time 11:11ers are extremely excited to get this show out in front of some people. The cast is big and is filled with a great mix of old 11:11 favorites and some newcomers to really put together an awfully funny group of people. Every night in rehearsal we are close to hysterics watching everyone bring in some new element. Adam, who plays Hubertin, is quite a special drunk onstage. Every night he takes his character just a litte farther and I notice the other actors anteing up. Eventually there is a pleasant madness that unfolds onstage. Rehearsals can sometimes feel like a party game night where a day later you can't quite explain to everyone else exactly why you couldn't stop laughing for fifteen minutes straight but you're certain it was for a good reason. Josh Rilla takes his first leading role as Massenay and is spreading his wings beautifully. Right out of Emerson's top notch acting program, Sasha Castroverde plays opposite Josh as Francine and is also quite impressive. The characters are written beautifully. The cast are finding just infinite amounts of space to play and to enjoy themselves with such a good foundation. I told the cast that I want all of their characters' baseball cards, so to speak. I want to collect them all. We wanted to open our new season with a bang and a smile. Several have come so far. I can't wait to see what you guys think. Bring your friends. Make a night of it.
